My Day is At Hand. You shall know that I AM the LORD your God.

Journal Post from July 1, 2026.

My son, you are My guest. I have invited you.

Be silent in My Presence, the Presence of the LORD God; for the day of the LORD is at hand.

I have prepared a sacrifice.

I have invited My guests.

I will punish the princes and their children, and all who clothed themselves in them.

I will destroy the wicked, they shall be no more.

I will also punish the men who are settled in complacency, who say in their heart that I will not do anything, neither good nor evil.

Their goods shall become your booty, their house a desolation.

My day is at hand, the great day of the LORD is here.

My children, seek the LORD.

Seek Me, seek My Kingdom, My righteousness, humble yourselves before Me, and I will hide you In Me in the day of My anger.

You who fear Me, who meditate upon My Name. You who love Me, who gave yourself to Me as a living sacrifice that I may refine you and purify you with My fire. You shall be Mine.

On that day I make you My jewels.

I will spare you and make that the world will see the distinction that you serve Me.

On that day, says the LORD of hosts; for you who fear My Name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise over you with healing in His wings, and you shall go out and leap with joy, and trample the wicked as ashes under your feet.

I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.

Fear not, but be glad and rejoice in the LORD your God.

And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Also on My men and maid servants I will pour out My Spirit.

And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the Name of the LORD shall be saved.

You shall know that I AM the LORD your God.

Child of God. Son/Daughter of the King

The Bible speaks about “children of God” in two related but distinct ways. Some passages speak of all people as God’s offspring in the sense that He is our Creator, while others speak specifically of those who belong to Christ through faith as God’s adopted children in a covenant relationship.

1. Those who believe in Christ become children of God

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12–13.

Jesus teaches that becoming a child of God comes through receiving and believing in Him.

2. Through faith in Christ

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” Galatians 3:26.

Faith in Christ is what unites us to God as His sons and daughters.

3. Led by the Spirit

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God… you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’” Romans 8:14–17.

Believers are adopted into God’s family and receive the Holy Spirit.

4. God’s great love

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” 1 John 3:1

Marvel at the privilege of being God’s children.

What about “we are all children of God”?

The Bible does not explicitly say that every person is automatically a child of God in the same relational sense. However, it does affirm that all humans are created by God and bear His image.

“…For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’”  Acts 17:28–29.

All humanity is God’s offspring because He is our Creator. But throughout the New Testament and the New Covenant of God, being a child of God is reserved for those who are reconciled to God through Jesus Christ by faith.

“To all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12.

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26.

These passages distinguish between God as Creator of all people and God as Father of those who have been adopted into His family through believing in and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord, God and Saviour.

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.
